This plan will only work if there is indeed true competition among the big 3. The fact that the big 3 may be engaged in a cartel will indicate that boycotting 1 supplier won't affect the price.

The supplier with zero sales will just sell his fuel to the others at a modest price, but with enough margin to make profit.

Hinding-hindi po malulugi ang mga big oil players, nor we can force them to lower their prices. All have been said above.

Low-cost alternative energy + force the government to support it. Yan po ang sagot.

Bring in the Hybrids kasi! Malakas kasi mag-lobby yang Big 3 para harangin ang entry ng hybrid vehicles eh.

Mas mura ang cost ng re-charging with electricity, 'coz power rates have a blended cost - different power plants running on different fuels (with different costs) to produce energy.

Dapat sinama ang PETRON kasi ang majority owner nito ay ang SAUDI ARAMCO di ba ito ang isa sa mga member ng OPEC na nagdidictate ng presyo ng crude oil sa world market.

IMO, the more sensible message would be to not use your car on unnecessary trips. And if you're going out by yourself, why not take mass transport instead?
