I agree
People who want to “make a statement” are waiting for Tesla anyway. Those who live in condos will have difficulty utilizing an electric car anyway since they wont have charging stations at home. Some newer high end condos may have provisions though.
The future is definitely electric, but we don’t have the infrastructure or vehicle availability yet.

Hybrids have been big in the US since the boom of the Prius in the 2000s. We’ve only gotten an increase in hybrids fairly recently with cars like the Altis and Corolla Cross, and even then it’s still not mainstream.
The only time EVs will make it big in a 3rd world country like ours is if we phase out diesels, which will take a while.
That said, I expect fewer and fewer affordable performance cars with ICEs as the performance niche will move upmarket, and noone develops performance cars for 3rd world countries anyway. This is partially why I bought a gas-guzzling sport sedan now, because who knows if in 5-10 years these will still be a thing.

March 15th, 2022 05:02 PM #143Damn STI just got cancelled!
I'm still hoping Toyota's 3.5li TTV6 makes its way into a relatively smaller car like the IS.

May 17th, 2022 12:14 AM #147diesel engines are more expensive to maintain even their normal change oils are more expensive than gas
sa panahon ngayon i'd choose gas over diesel mas tahimik and regarding sa price, mas malalaki displacement ng diesel engines and halos same price na lang ang diesel and gas now. still unsure when it will go down but surely it will stay this way habang may war and global market problem. if you'e planning to keep the car for a long time siguro diesel will do in case diesel prices goes down panalo ka. pero if it's going to be a car that you would sell in less than 5 years go with gas

June 8th, 2022 08:03 PM #148pag nagbenta ka ng desel suv hindi mo pwede ilagay sa ads na "tahimik makina" unless the engine is on the level of peugeot.
Sa gasoline engine napakasisiw kahit suzuki alto tahimik
