If you want to save on maintenance, you can bring your own oil & parts at Motor Image and just pay them for the labor cost of the service. For my FXT, I had the CVTF changed at 36k KM and had it done at Fusion R. Subaru manual did not dictate a full fluid change (13L total) of the CVT tranny and a normal drain & refill (6L) will do. Spent 10k last January for the CVTF change and gear oil change (includes fluids and labor).
May I know where you sourced the CVTF? I think I'll be due for a change soon.

    Subaru Ph does differently.
First, no such thing as lifetime fluid
Second, they change cvtf every 40k kms

    Problem solved.

Ford had DCT problems because they used a dry clutch type of DCT. This heats up thus malfunctions in stop n go traffic.

On highway driving and high torque conditions (climbing, engine braking) clutches simply cannot take the heat. Thus it malfunctions, change in TCM simply changes how it shifts, so it cools down somewhat.

VAG Group, etc uses wet type dct. Performs wonderfully.

2004 Lancer MX is one of the first CVT here. No problems heard. Mine still shifts like new. Religious cvtf change at 40k kms.

Early Honda city cvt failures are attributed to wrong fluid placed at the factory. It was their first cvt. Oops!
