It just feels soft off the line but when it’s moving, it will test your nerves.

I’m guessing its still in good condition. CVTs rarely have issues in the early years especially within or near the end of the warranty period.

If a CVT tranny is being cared for, it won’t be a problem. Case in point- the Jazz/City IDSI. There are still a bunch of them on the road and some of them are more than 15 years old already.

Most of those city/jazz might be manual transmission perhaps? But yes, if you replace the fluid regularly, almost always it will last. Problema sa pinoy kinakaligtaan kahit simpleng pag palit

15,000km per year. both cvt and torq converter will last 10years.

since 2015 subaru america sold more or less 3million cvts.

imagine if 10% have failed. thats 300,000 lawsuits.
5% is still 150,000..

Then it’s not the fault of the vehicle if the owner is stupid about maintenance. It’s like saying a weapon is evil even though the one who wields it is the real culprit.
