Yes, doc. It's like the mother or SO who keeps on bugging you. "Why do you keep on buying new cars that look alike?!?!"

back in the 50s and 60s,
one could readily identify the car, just by the profile or its front or rear views.

Are Civic EG’s still worth it in 2020?

    Depends who’s asking.

For younger people (Millennials and younger) they will dismiss the EG as an outdated car with little to no creature comforts.

For older people (baby boomers or older)
they probably have an image of the EG as a noisy, low to the ground and uncomfortable. Most of them will stay away.

For GenXers (correct me if i’m wrong) we grew up seeing the EG as our dad’s, uncle, relatives car and was not old enough to own one. We are probably the group that wants to own this car more than anyone.

About the FD and Vios: dunno why someone thought they look the same. Probably need to see an eye doctor. Hehehe

    Front:
Fd: separate housing for hi & low beams
Vios: one housing for hi & low beams

    Side
    Fd: door mounted mirrors,
    Vios: pillar mounted mirrors

    Rear:
Fd: separate housing for brake, signal & reverse lights, with the other housing mounted on the trunk
Vios: all signals in one housing and mounted only on the body

Now with the mirage & current gen impreza, yes they have a similarity.

Like most 90s era Honda cars, the Civic EK comes with a hydraulic power steering system. As usual, it needs the Honda-specific PSF.
