    Hi,

I've been looking for a car within 100-150k range. Currently, my top choices are ESI and VTI. I see VTIs online within my budget pero di ko type color. Also, if possible I want to save some cash for things that might need to be repaired.

This is gonna be my first car and I intend to use it only on weekends. Guys, please help me choose which among these cars is the best buy.

    ESI:

    Honda esi 95 | *******
    - Is there really a D16B engine?
    - I don't like the color but the paint looks smooth
    - Interior looks fresh
    Honda Civic ESI 94 Model | *******
    - Price is tempting, can go as low as 97k
    - Minor bulutong but the paint job is still decent based on the photos he sent
    - I just don't like the fake carbon fiber hood (sticker)

    honda esi 93 model | *******
    - I like the engine. If I'm not mistaken, D15B is more powerful and more fuel efficient than PH16.
    - Sound system
    - It's my preferred color
    - 112k last price
    - The engine and color are not indicated, so more paperworks and additional expenses
    - Can be registered according to seller (non-appearance)
    - Minor bulutong

    Honda Civic ESI 1994model SR4 body | *******
    - looks good including the engine bay

    honda esi 93mdl | *******

    VTI:

    - Overhauled engine. Will that still be ok?

For 150k, you might as well get yourself a 6th gen Accord (98-02) than a much older Civic EG or EK. They drive better than the Civic plus they have more powerful engines. Since pang weekend mo lang, di big issue yung higher fuel consumption. Get the MT variants para iwas issue ng sliding tranny na common sa 90s era Honda cars.

Thanks for the suggestion. I also like the Accord but I would still prefer a more fuel efficient car just in case I need to use it more frequently.

I'm leaning toward this one but really worried about these two issues. Should I really be too concerned about these? Will I still be able to use the car even under these conditions?

i would stay away from it. potential headaches.
why settle for this unit, when there are probably many other choices that have "clean or updated papers"?

Yeah, I thought about that too. Anyway, I already got an ESi from a different seller. Got it for 105k.

    The only problems so far:
    1. Aircon - The seller said he removed the belt because of the unusual noise coming from the compressor
    2. 2 power windows are getting stuck from time to time
    3. Minor bulutong but overall the paint is still decent

Any ideas how much would the repair for these issues cost me?
