Sir my vote goes to the Carens EX. It's a really great car especially in diesel form. As usual it's slightly expensive thanks to Kia's pricing, but this is one of the more "worth-it" Kia cars. Really great engine and ride. Looks great from the inside and out as well.

I'd get the multi-awarded Grand Livina. Sarap ng ride. Second to that the Kia Carens. Same reason.
With Toyota's current woes (and continuing woes) I doubt the big advantages of the Innova (good resale value, reliable and supported by a big manufacturer) would still hold. Rules have changed. New Toyota vehicles (post 2000 to present) are now being labeled "death machines". True or not I'd skip buying one till the ruckus subsides (and see if Toyota survives).

Salamat ulit mga ka-tsikot. Actually eto ngang dalawa ang nagpapagulo sa isipan namin kung sino ba sa kanila ang bibilhin, hehehe
last option na lang ang innova... Maybe last week of Feb we will be getting na, if it's the Livina we are leaning towards the elegance variant na color white(elegante ang dating

Sobra. 4km/l city driving.
Magastos pa kung 2nd hand Pajero ang bibilhin. May repair costs pa yan etc. etc.
And, delikado nowadays bumili ng 2nd hand, baka nabaha. Mahirap na.
May family ata si TS ? Di ba masyadong mainit ang grand livina ? 3 rows share the 4 a/c vents at the front. But yeah, it`s cheap and small, hence it wont be a problem in maneuvering.

The Carens is enough. Has the space to seat seven people with extra luggage space and, the CRDi engine is incredibly fast.
It would be better though, if you have a car to trade in for the Carens. Knowing Kia, they appraise high.

Kia appraises high because they already include your would-have-been-discounts in the appraisal.
Personally, I find it weird that when everyone mentions that they have a family, it always has to be a really big car. I belong to a family of 5 and honestly we haven't really encountered anything too alarming despite the fact that all of the cars we've owned are sedans. Yes when going on family trips out of town, the cargo may seem daunting. But we've gone to the far stretches of Luzon with lots of bags and food in an AE101 and it wasn't so bad.
A Grand Livina is a 7 seater and unless you are 7 or more in the family, including maids if you must, and always travel as a whole, I don't see why it would still be too small. If you're around 5-6 in the family, the Grand Livina would have surplus space for your cargo anyway. Same thing with the Carens, Innova, APV, or Fuzion.
OT: same thing with people who say that they're gonna have their first child or have their first kid, and insist that a compact SUV is too small. Have they been blessed with Na'vi offspring? It'd be great for someone to enlighten me on this.
With that said, my vote still goes to the Carens.
