December 11th, 2008 05:41 PM #1elow...newbie here... just need some tips and advice...
I'm planning to buy a second hand car and my budget
is up to P185,000 only so i guess i'm right to say that
i only can afford 1990 to 2000 model 2nd hand cars...
what i want is a car that can be use for almost daily total travel
of 12 km... 3km for hatid then 3km uwi then 3km sundo and
3km uwi ulit... so i guess what i need is a fuel efficient car o yung
matipid sa gas... pero syempre yung pang-porma na rin and in good
to excellent condition... yung pogi at makinis pa po heheh...
my problem is... i'm not familiar with car models and performance...
so if there's any member here that have some personal experience
on driving 1990 to 2000 model cars pls. do advice me on what brand
or model of car should i buy or not to buy base on your experiences...
pls... no scooter, traysikel or mini-car suggestions...
my entourage is always 3 to 4 persons heheh...
no SUV's, miniVan or Van also... pero kung may murang nagbebenta ng
AUV dyan ng rush for emergency or personal reason ay pwede rin... like
btw... only in these brand lang po... Toyota, Mitsubishi, Nissan, and Honda
Thanx in advance for those who will reply...
Thanx ulit!!

You can check the following:
mid 90s Civic LXi 1.5L
late 90s Sentra 1.4L (series 3)
early to mid 90s Corolla 1.3L (big body type)
These cars might be within your requirements. Since these cars are already pretty old, best to stay with manual transmission cars to avoid old automatic tranny problems.

btw... I more question heheh...
how about the civic 1.6L? they said that's it's good for highway driving and if you're careful or good on how the way u drive under city streets you can save ur gas too? is it true? coz it's a little bit more faster as what they say... sorry if i ask too much question... coz i see a lot of 1.6 at the net than 1.5's... Thanx again...

at 185k, you can get a 1997-1998 lancer (pizza) gl or gli. yun ang pinakabagong makukuha mo.
at the same time, you can also get a newer nissan sentra (same model as lancer).
