You have to do a comparison yourself. I wanted a Tucson in the first place, but after doing a side by side comparison, the CRV won because of space and quality. Again, it boils down to what you need and want.

it's not in the list pero ang santa fe na crdi 4x2 ay within your range... konting dagdag na lang sa fortuner... currently the best on-road SUV for me...

nice ride... nice looks... nice CRDI+VGT... nice 5 year warranty...

and yes, i dont have one... but if i have extra 1.5M, this is what i am going to buy... ;)

    - test drive mo lahat and be the judge on what each can offer
    - read internet forums for reviews for positives and more on the negatives
    - talk to friends/relatives that are owners for their first hand comments

+1 ako don sa santa fe...very powerful engine, very smooth ride, very economical on fuel consumption, no issues relative to our dirty diesel in our country...

Hyundai Tucson 2.0ReVGT- number of these on the streets are growing and growing with no signs of stopping. The pricing is good and so is the performance, and so is a very worthy addition to your garage. But then the styling is not my type, and so is the scary months-long waiting list.

Honda CRV 2.0i-VTEC- never gonna pick this one. It looks like a huge turtle to me. The engine is a VERY good drinker, you'll find your fuel used up in no time at all even if it doesn't give good performance in return.

Isuzu Crosswind Sportivo- not even an SUV, has a very slow but durable and fuel efficient engine. The A/T robs lots of power from the already weak engine as well. Definitely not worth the money. Its got a choppy ride, poor handling and no safety features at all.

Toyota Fortuner 2.5D4D- Its OK but not the best among them all. The engine may be fine for powering the Innova but is certainly inadequate for such a huge car. And for the price you don't get many toys inside. The Montero Sport 2.5GLS A/T is a much better buy and has 34 more hp.

Hyundai Tucson 2.0GLS- This one is cheap and a much better buy than the CRV as its newer, has more features and has more power (most number of hp from a gasoline 2.0L engine in its class) Its a good buy for one with a limited budget but I find the 2.0ReVGT to be an even better buy.

    more suggestions:
Hyundai Santa Fe 2.2ReVGT- This one priced at 1558000 is a very good deal. You get that monster of an engine which gives 194hp/436Nm from just 2.2 liters and its got lots of features including 5.1 channel Dolby sound system with navigation and many more. It seats 7, handles nicely, drinks diesel thriftily while still able to go above 220km/h!

Mitsubishi Montero Sport 2.5GLS- At only 1380000, you get a big 7 seater SUV with a 136hp/314Nm 2.5 liter CRDi engine and a sturdy suspension that can carry heavy loads and go on harsh road conditions. And then if you upgrade to bigger rims and HID lamps, you get even more gravitas at that hotel driveway. For the price, its really a steal.

If I *had* to choose one from the list, my conditional answer would be the Crosswind, conditional in the sense that it should be M/T and within the XT/XTi range. The Crosswind is one of only two current vehicles (the other being the Adventure) that satisfy my technical criteria: size, passenger capacity, resistance to fuel impurities via tested and reliable old-school diesel engines and solid rear axle for ease of maintenance. The Adventure of course has the advantage of relatively car-like dynamics and quieter engine, but the Crosswind's edge is in pulling power.

And as mentioned, the Montero Sport 2.5L is also a good option, with the DI-D 2.5L engine designed around the legendary 4D56.

    1. Tucson R eVGT 2.0L GL 4WD AT 1,338,000

    Crossover

    2. Honda CR-V 2.0Li 2WD AT PHP 1,325,000.00

    Crossover

    3. Isuzu sportivo A/T 1,210,000

    Van

    4. Isuzu Crosswind XUV A/T 1,092,000

    Van

    5. Toyota Fortuner 2WD G2.4 DSL A/T 1,479,000

    SUV

    6. Tucson Theta II 2.0L GLS AT 2WD 1,158,000

    Crossover

But seriously... you'll have to go and see for yourself. What are your priorities, and what do you need?

The Tucson drives and rides the best of all your choices, but like MGuy says, the CR-V has more usable space, and the 2.0 CR-V is actually pretty economical for a gasoline engine... though both Tucs are pretty good in this regard.

The Fort gives you the most go-anywhere ability in the list, but this is the 2.5 liter model, without 4-wheel drive, so it can't go as far off-road as the 4WD can.

The Isuzus give you decent (not great, because these are ATs) economy and low running costs, with the most useable space on the list, but are unrefined, noisy, smoky and agricultural. Accelerate like tractors, brake like trucks.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

I placed the fortuner first, simply because of it's height and looks. Plus, the additional 2 seats that you might need. And I guess, the line isn't that long as compared to the Tucson iX.

I placed the crosswinds last because of it's hefty price and it's lacking safety features. ;)

bibili ng new SUV??
