Well take your time. Especially if you are not in urgent need. Pababa ng pababa lagi ang presyo sa used car market. I have driven a 2013 Strada, and I have to say that performance is pretty good. 185km/h at 3500rpm. Very laggy throttle response, though probably nothing a reflash won't fix. Interior feels kinda cheap, especially if used to the Santa Fe. The GTV's got the Pajero's legendary 4x4 system though, so that's something.

been there. done that.

my first car was a sedan.
then a van, because my babies needed a place for the stroller and the kitchen sink.
when they got too big for the stroller, innova naman. i had wanted a fortuner, but the waiting line was eight months long.
now, in my senior years, i have decided that a well-designed sedan is much easier to drive than the innova.
i have a 2003 altis, but they didn't measure me when they designed it.
i'm looking around for a good buy...

the tagtag factor may be deceptively minimal if one is the driver. we should ask the passengers behind for their opinions.

With two crossovers we primarily use, I wish the other one was a sedan if we just had access to those two vehicles only. However, we do have sedans we can use.

However, if you need a practical family hauler, then a diesel-fed 7-seater PPV is a good choice. If you are being more practical, then the multi-purpose Innova can do whatever the Fort or Monty can do.

Looking for 2nd hand suv din ako, at pinagpipilian ko nlang is either forty or monty. Pero ang mahal ng mga 2015 and up models, nasa 820k pataas.

May nakikita akong 800k below na monty 2014-15.
Mas gusto ko si monty sa forty dahil sa back seat. ayoko ng style ni forty na nasa gilid yung upuan pag tinupi. mag consume pa ng space. :D

My initial target for 2nd hand was the Montero Sport 3rd gen.
Hirap makahanap ng unit before pandemic.
I even saw Montero 2016 GLS Premium at 1.08m at that time but was already sold out.
I only saw Montero 2016+ GLS variant at 1.1m+ which is just too much for a second hand for me.
Here comes the pandemic, naglabasan na mga magagandang units.

You can now even see in marketplace a 2019 GLS Premium or 2020 GLS for sale.
And you can now see GLS models at less than 1m.

Unfortunately, I am not anymore looking for a 2nd hand unit.

If you really cannot get the car that you want in the given timeframe, I say get a Japanese diesel. Preferably a Toyota, Isuzu or Mitsubishi you relatively like that will fit your budget. Use it until you have your desired budget, and then trade it in. Said brands hold their value pretty well and are easy to sell in the used car market.

Bro tsinelas30, for your needs, I think you should stick to Innova. The space is enough for your online business and the maintenance cost is actually cheaper than your regular 7 seater SUVs. Sure, di maporma ang style at mukha kang pamilyado, pero pagdating sa mga wear and tear items, dun ka makakasave ng malaki. Coming from sedan, siguradong maninibago ka sa maintenance cost. Yung normal mong gulong na 3-4k per piece sa M3 mo e aabot ng 6-7k for Monty/Fort/Eve. Yung sa innova, malamang nsa 3-5k depende sa brand. Insurance din, mas mahal sa SUV... Pwede ka naman ulit magpalit sa SUV once your online business succeeds eh. Malay mo, brand new SUV pa pag sinwerte ka. Stick ka muna sa budget and let your business make money for you. HTH
