    Just my 2 cents...

I own 2010 Camry 2.4 engine (had it since new, and still with me)...

    reliable, yes
    comfortable, yes
    powerful, yes
the best for long distance (paved roads)
the best with driver (among your choices), the seats and space as a passenger is really good.

but if your criteria is driving comfort (personally driven), with bumper to bumper traffic and only for coding.

my bet will on on the Ciaz coz its newer, smaller but not too small to be bullied, and of course depreciated cost

Camry is wide, hard in traffic
Sonar is standard, but it will just beep all the time in traffic.
gas mileage in bumper to bumper traffic is 5Km/L
Hard to park, its actually longer and wider than a Fortuner
you have to be more alert driving the Camry in Bumper to Bumper traffic,
Harder to squeeze in tight spots

but if this doesn't matter (or bother) you, Camry is fine

Traffic is not the best environment for the Camry

    Again, just my 2 cents

5km/L in traffic isn't so bad. My Santa Fe does only 6 in Edsa traffic, and its a diesel.

I used to think that big vehicles would be very unwieldy to drive. But when we got the Carnival, which is about just as long as a Grand Starex, and even wider, I found driving it pretty much the same as driving my Santa Fe. Yes, parking can be a bit of a pain, but a P1500 backup camera does the trick.

that's 100 bucks for 10 km traveled by the camry,
and that's 66 bucks for 10 km traveled by the sta fe.

1000 pesos of camry fuel will move it 100 km.
1000 pesos sta fe fuel will push it 150 km.

    more or less.

Have you factored in the price of diesel vs gas?

Yes, but I expected less from the Camry, and more from the Santa Fe. Best 400k A/T Sedan? Go old (but reliable) or younger model?

Of course there is still the factor of lower cost of diesel, but in terms of the engine's inherent fuel efficiency, I find 5 acceptable. Especially since said car will be used just a couple of days a week.

it would seem, fuel management systems are considerably better now than before...

    a relative has a camry.
hindi niya ginagamit masyado, dahil nga sa takaw sa gaso.

i would ask, what type of traffic is cta2 talking about.
philippine metro manila traffic? or texas san antonio traffic?
    heh heh.

I only answered, hows the mileage of a camry in traffic? and i mentioned its 5Km/L... thats actually a statement not a complain... im used to these mileage coz i do like mid-size cars, and its Normal for that kind of car ;-) its an easy 8Km/L in highways... again, thats normal for me.

My traffic is Katipunan area to Makati (rush hour back and fort)... takes me 1.5 hours in the morning, roughly 2 hours going home - Door to Door (some of the traffic is within Makati)

Camry is a very nice, reliable and good car (my daily car for 6 years, coding and family service after the 6th year)... I got mine, back in 2010 coz traffic was not that bad, i get 6.5Km/L before, same route, same time, different traffic. Size was not an issue, coz traffic was flowing and i had parking in the office

so, as a coding car and family service Today (present day, with present day traffic, not flowing but bumper to bumper), the camry is a bit over-qualified... so as long as you can live with the size, and for some, its gas mileage... its a good choice.

for comparison... vios e automatic, same route and time... I get 6Km/L... so actually, the Camry is doing well if you ask me
