Not sure. The Pajero was long gone since the early 2000s when he left the country. He regularly drove it out of town and off road. He never mentioned any suspension problems. Perhaps it was because it was much younger at the time? That plus the lower body weight of the 3 door versus a 5 door.

I sometimes amuse myself in looking for utility vehicles with engine swaps for sale in FB Marketplace. So far I've seen a few Adventure's with 4D56TDICs and slightly more Revo's with 3C-Ts and 2L-Ts. Was amazed to see one Revo with a 1KZ swap. Lipad siguro yan!
