August 13th, 2012 05:54 PM #12Yun nga eh. A relative owns a B13 LEC-PS. The car is very rarely used. You don't find many 1997 cars with just 50+tkms on the clock. Which also means maintenance is neglected. The carburetor is never cleaned which robs a sizeable amount of the meager amount of power available and leads to heavy fuel consumption. Not a good car for lazy folks.

be very vigilant these days for picking 2nd hand vehicles, im sure there are tons of cars out there that weren't ondoy victims but got flooded by the recent habagat.
by this time napa-repair and napa-detail na yun, so be very careful, and find some tips here in tsikot in spotting out flooded units.
goodluck in you hunt!
update ka sana dito pag meron ka na napili.
and as mentioned above, a lot prayers. hopefully hindi ka matapat sa lemon car, or a flooded one.

August 13th, 2012 06:08 PM #14As mentioned, make sure to steer clear from flooded units. Here are some units I found that may be worthy of visiting.

August 13th, 2012 08:46 PM #17Usually the best way to identify a flooded unit would be the rust and/or mud in isolated or rarely touched places. Or some electronics like power windows may not be functioning well. And then check the way it drives and compare with other units to detect excessive or inappropriate sounds or difference in performance.

look inside the door panels. you will need to remove the inside door panels to see if there are tell tale signs of mud. pag ayaw pa-alis nung mayari e para na din siya nagconfession na flooded yung unit nya.
another part you can check is in the fuse box inside the engine compartment. remove the fuses and relays one by one. if the unit was flooded there will be some rust on the pins of the relays and fuses, and also on the sockets.

November 19th, 2012 01:21 PM #20hi, lady driver here as well, im driving a mazda 3 and its easy to use (for me) so i suggest you get the same, do you mean ayosdito.ph yung site na tinitingnan mo? ang dami ngang choices don pero mas maganda yon para madami kang pagpipilian. Medyo mahal suggestion ko for your budget pero look dor other cars na lang na easy to drive since you're a newbie. Read ka ng forums and research muna about cars.
Buhay na buhay ang BGC this evening. Bukas halos lahat ng restaurants. Sabi pa nung isang cashier...
