Sir, with your limited budget, these are your options:
*Nissan Sentra B13 - I'll pick the 1.6 Super Saloon variant. Fuel efficient (thanks to EFI), plenty of parts (since the Sentra is used as a taxicab), and more features for the money.
*Mitsubishi Lancer (5th Gen) - Although smaller than the Sentra, it has adequate parts supply, and decent fuel consumption, but only the 1.6L variant has EFI.
*Toyota Corolla AE90 - The 16Valve variant gets my vote. Although reliable and spare parts are available, it is carburaeted and the fuel injected variant is not on list when the AE101 Corolla arrived.
*Mazda 323 - Later models can be had for less. If you're considering this car, watch out for molested ex-taxi units. Spare Parts can be adequate but not at all times.
There you have it. I didn't include Subic, Cagayan, or Korean Cars of the same vintage. Good luck on your purchase!Last edited by myk384; March 30th, 2011 at 09:14 AM. Reason: Placed asterisks in choices
