but hey! spare parts are cheap.
i use my brother's 2003, maintaining it with parts as needed, and i am always surprised at the ease of sourcing and cost of parts in banawe.
they haven't yet failed in giving me what i want, at the very first store i ask.
    200k pa pala value ng 15 yr old Altis. If I get a 2002 Altis, I'll have the 9th, 10th and 11th gen :P

2002 with 96311 mileage so 6k+ per year. My 2010 Altis has 45k mileage, also 6k+ per year, but I have all the service records to back it up

It seems that it is raining every afternoon now. Hard too. Flood is still as much of a problem as it was before.

Flood problems aside, I really like the Altis. Design has proven to be timeless. A well maintained unit would still look at home on a hotel driveway.

Would a 21 year-old sedan with only 43,000+ on its odometer still be worth 150,000? Thoughts, anyone?

    Great find!

If only it's not a gasoline engine... I'd get one of those, too

How sure are you that the odometer hasn't been tampered?

Toyota Altis E 22 manual All Power well maintained in Quezon City, Metro Manila (NCR) | *******

Looks fresh from the pics. If I were to get this, first order of business is to have it painted Pearl White.

the 2003 altis i drive, had 95K on the odo, when i started driving her last year. it comes from an un-impeachable source.
so i suppose, your odo reading is credible.

funny, but i did not think of her as a 14 year old car, back then. "it runs great." and it's an AT.

What car? While there is the odd garage queen case, it is a bit far fetched. Our 20 year old Jap surplus Granvia has 168tkms on the clock (already considered low), and I'm not even sure if it was tampered upon arrival in the country. If it is indeed a garage queen, there is also the worry of lots of deteriorated parts due to disuse.

    that depends.
if owner got to the 43K without oil in the sump, definitely not! (translation: very abused car.)
if car was religiously maintained, and it's japanese, and it has only 4 cylinders and 1300-1600 cc displacement... maybe.
if car belonged to my obsessive brother, a definite yes.

would anyone buy a 1997 nissan sentra ex that has been reasonably maintained, and with only 43K on the odo, for a whopping 150K ?
i might, that is, if i needed a car. i have good experience with sentra.
