    Sir, any update?

With 250k, you may already get a 2001-2002 Crosswind. Tag-ulan na rin, so better to get something that can wade floods (if I were you).

I'll get a cheap car (around 15k to 25k) from the 1990s... and will restore it using the money that's left

Lots of factors to consider. For me, it's difficult to generalize. It's always better to check units out, then compare them head-to-head.

I like this 2002 Altis. It's White (my favorite color) and looks fresh but the mileage is suspect. 90k+ for a 15 yr old car?

    190K km, perhaps?
    heh heh.
but hey! spare parts are cheap.
i use my brother's 2003, maintaining it with parts as needed, and i am always surprised at the ease of sourcing and cost of parts in banawe.
they haven't yet failed in giving me what i want, at the very first store i ask.
