September 6th, 2011 05:57 PM #11thank you ulet mga sir
hmmm so it's not true na mahirap maghanap ng parts ng nissan right?
would you rather check on the year of the car more than the odo reading mga sir?

Nissan parts are abundant, don't worry.
Ako? Check both... But mas prefer ko ang isang sasakyan na mababa ang odo reading (if the seller is honest) than the year.
Ikaw? Pipiliin mo ba ang sasakyang mabagobago na maraming kms reading sa odo o isang lumang sasakyan na konti (talaga) ang reading?

September 7th, 2011 12:05 AM #15I'd pick a car with a certain balance between the age and the odometer reading. If the odometer reading of an old car is unexpectedly low, there may be three reasons for it. First, it was tampered. Second, its a "garage king". Third, it is seldom used and used only as a backup/coding vehicle or for very short trips only. But I wouldn't risk it as it may mean its got many hidden headaches. So I'd rather get a '97 car with, say, 120000 kms on the clock than a 93 car with about 40k on the clock.
Ang Nissan Sentra OK talaga. Its quite a familiar sight among racers which means it has great performance potential. And being a Nissan its got that trademark ice cold aircon. I also kinda like the way it looks especially with the Super Touring or GTS variants. If it still has frosted headlamps, retrofitting with clear ones will easily make your car look younger by five years or so. Parts are no problem since this model is a highly successful model which guarantees an abundance of low cost spare parts.
And yes, the City is a fine car. Very good for you if you can live with the econobox looks which I find rather hard to swallow.

September 7th, 2011 01:31 PM #16thanks myk. since i should be staying away from carb type engines, what engine should I'd be looking into that has both power and gas economical? i honestly dont know much about engines but given some tips I can do my own research na based on advises
gti - my thoughts exactly with city i was really looking into nissans pero ung resale value is mababa based on what I see on ads and while I say na im gonna keep the car for good, i think i'm considering reselling dahil baka mag palit din naman ako, very unlikely but is a possibility now that im learning more hehe
