How much are MP3 Headunits right now? (Merged Threads)

Nagulat din ako na may affordable head units ang JVC with decent features at hindi mukhang cheap. Pero sabi sa akin ng installer ko magtataas na daw ng presyo ang JVC, kasi pinapakyaw daw ng mga car dealers as OEM head units for brand new vehicles. Kaya binili ko na yung KD-G415. ;-)

Spiff... kumusta naman ang tunog ng JVC HU? I mean if compared to Alpine or Blaupunkt? Which brand, in your own opinion, mas comparable sya?

The JVC sounds better than the stock Alpine OEM head unit of the 3-door RAV4 and that's okay with me. Of course it helped that I installed Blaupunkt separates in the front and a V12 sub. I'm very satisfied with the sound quality, looks, and the price. ;-)

I have installed and tested the Velocity (Blaupunkt flagship series) Separates and the sound is good. Quite solid. Although medyo mataas ang highs. =)

Namention mong the sound of JVC is better than the Alpine OEM, just wondering, anong year yung Alpine OEM? I mean is it comparable in terms of technology? How about model? Kasi dba usually the higher the unit the better and specs. E yung OEM na HU usually low end lang bigay nila. Any thoughts?

good day mga sound system GURUS, I was wondering.... I have a pioneer HU which plays only CD's but I have them install MPEG converter so it plays VCD's as well.... question is... are there pioneer cd changers than can play MP3 so i do not have to replace my HU ? thanks much for your inputs..

salamat sa input sir caloyski5... nahinayang kasi ako magpalit ng HU galing sa dati kong car yun tapos ngayon me bagong car na ko gusto ko sana palitan yung factory HU ko yung fujitsu 10 na kapangit ng tunog... hehehe..

HI ACCS. Itong bagong car mo ba ay galing Toyota? Kasi sila yung mga Fujitsu na OEM HU. If yes, pano naging pangit ang tunog? Like kulang sa high? low? mid? Please advise.

Yup, the Blaupunkt separates sounds good and the price can't be beat. ;-)

As for the OEM Alpine head unit, I don't know what the model is because I also traded-in the unit and the CD changer. It's circa 1997 though.

hi all!

anybody know anything about Panasonic head units?

my installer urged me to look over this HU: panasonic c5401 (see link below)

the only part of it that i can understand is that it has 3 5v pre outs. any other features that jump out?

one issue would be aftersales support, unlike pioneer (nokia ng mga HU) or even alpine, bihira ako makakita ng service centers for panasonic HUs.
