How much yung usual units nila? I think Android user naman yung kakilala ko so no big issue.

Thanks, sir. It indeed made a dinosaur more current. The audio quality improvement was unexpectedly significant w/o any other hardware upgrades. Everything's pretty smooth, too. Definitely can hang w/ the branded ones, but nowhere near their price range.

Yes the headunit uses Android. pero that version was jailbroken to work as a car's headunit.
It uses Android 10 and who knows kung kelan pa yung last security update nya.

Why I prefer CarPlay/Android Auto? kasi hindi lang ako ang gagamit ng car.
Just like an iPad na iisa ang user profile, if anyone uses the device, usage history will affect all my devices kasi walang guest profile yung device.

I know to some its not a big deal. pero madami masyadong information ang tied up sa Google account ko and I find it too risky kung may biglang gumamit ng account ko.

Just want to comment on Navitopia. I was supposed to get Joying for one of the cars but got really curious about this brand since their marketing is quite aggressive. I opted to give the supposed 2gb ram 16gb rom Android 10 a try. Paid 15k inclusive of installation. It was fast and clean. The interface is actually good but of course don't compare with the phones we use. Don't set your expectations too high. Overall it's working and haven't found any hiccups but it's really not 2gb ram and Android 10. Using CPU-Z i found out it's still 1gb ram and they use Android 9. The API level is 28 so it's a legit Android 9. Would it matter? Depends on your use. I really just wanted a large screen Waze as the phone i had when I bought Navitopia has a smaller screen than what I use now. I don't plan on installing streaming apps or games. It works for me right now but if i would replace another old car radio, I'd go with Joying.

Saw this on /r/wrx: Pioneer 7600NEX. It's not android, but has both Apple Carplay and Android Auto. It's also really fast, unlike most Android HUs. Around 7 seconds warm boot time so when you turn the car on the reverse cam is available right away.
