    A lot of OEM navigation and audio units (car stereos) need unlocking codes before they can be used again after losing power from the car's battery ... primarily to discourage theft. CRUCC is one of the softwares out there that can supply the correct codes to unlock the units.

    Most main dealers supply the code for free once you provide proof of ownership (usually the car itself or the registration) ... so except for the ICE shops, you wonder why anyone would want to unlock different stereos for different car makes :worried:

    Exactly. And the guy is advertising his on this forum.

    Unlocking softwares/codes/instructions have been around for quite a while on the internet and everybody's favorite dumping ground - ebay.
