Mahirap talaga mag-mobile TV sa Pilipinas ... mga TV stations nasa VHF, meaning, the required antenna is relatively long so anything shorter is a compromise. Another thing that aggravates the situation is your distance from the TV transmitters.

Ano bang klase ang internal antenna na pinakabit mo? Yung nasa loob ng bumper, nasa dash o yung buit-in?

Was the antenna packaged with the TV tuner? Kasi diversity antennas have to be controlled by the tuner ... basically it's more than 1 antenna, where the tuner automatically switches to the one with the best reception.

Kung ganyan gamit mo, hanggang diyan na lang yata ... anything more magmumukhang PUJ yang kotse mo, and you'll still have problems with "ghosting" - inherent problem sa mga car TV system.

It should be better than the windscreen-mounted antenna ... kaya lang, as I said earlier, magmumukhang PUJ. Ito yung V na tama ang sukat for VHF. Not the small one that you see on limo's (UHF yon). Problema kasi maliit at mababa ang mobile antenna, compared to your usual roof antenna at home. Imo, a whip antenna on each side of the car roof phased to give a figure-8 reception pattern is best, pero mukha ring may sungay kotse mo.

Pampalubag-loob ... In the UK, digital TV transmissions (called DVB or Freeview) started in 2002 and the format is in mpeg widescreen, same as in DVD. You can just imagine the big improvement in TV watching ... para kang nanonuod ng, well, DVD. It is also transmitted on UHF, kaya maliit lang ang antenna. It should be great watching digital TV in the car.

Having said that, I was really disappointed with the in-car reception ... para kang nanonood ng pirated DVD, hehehe. Kahit yung bumili ng BMW system worth P100k-plus, ganun din. Which takes us to the conclusion that if you want to have a better reception, drive your car closer to the TV transmitter
