December 2nd, 2009 10:10 AM #11was so desperate...that I found a shop that could resurface them..
SEATMATE...they could have these plastic panels resurfaced with a carbon fiber finish or any wood grain of choice.....
initial quote was 7k for the 4 door switch panels of the x3....hmmmm.....
still pondering on other options......
still worried which plastic would peel next......grrrrrrrr

hi,
base on my experience, sakit na tlga yan ng bmw,
advise ko lng,to lessen un pag peel off ng rubber, dont park under the hot sun, after kc nya ma expose sa sun, nagiging soft un rubber paint nya,so if happen na kamot nyo, peel agad sya.
for those naman na worse na un interior trim nila, you may consider to convert Genuine carbon fiber, after you convert to cf it will be SCRATCH AND CHEMICAL RESISTANT ,un iba kc pag nalalagyan ng car perfume nasisira na un interior trims nila.pero syempre depende un sa materials na gamit ng manufacturer.i can help you if your interested...
im working in a japanese company, direct manufacturer sila ng CF,specialty nila mga customized parts,
suggest lng naman po.
o share ko last week we just finish this old steering wheel, now super ganda nah!.

July 23rd, 2010 10:27 PM #15This is typical to all Bimmers.
However, if you are under warranty, you should be able to get this covered and replaced free from your dealership.
Did some independent research and decided to go with the white pearl crystal.... para maiba naman. ...
