Mga gurus magtatanong lang po ako regarding dito sa model na to kasi may nakita po ako sa ad selling a 97' MT 318i for 350K di ko pa po alam ung full specs at condition since its in angeles so babyahe muna po ako duon para makita ng personal pero before I go there gusto ko po muna sana magtanong tungkol dito at saka ung usual problems na naeecounter ng veteran na to. I know Euros are tough un nga lang expensive maintenance pero the result is rewarding. All comments on the vehicle are welcome the more the merrier and focus ko lang po talaga is dito sa E36 (316 or 318 na MT).

Kasi as far as I know, walang 318i na lumabas locally for E36 body. That may just be a 316i na nirebadge lang na 318i. Dami namang ganun e.

Kahapon lang me nakita ako sa shop na magandang 320i na bihis na bihis. Pag bukas ng pinto at hood, 316i pala! 320i are typically automatic, although nung early 90's nagkaron din ata ng option for manual trans.

Anyway, 350K is a bit on the middle na ng range ng selling ng 316i ngayon. nde bargain yan. madaming nagbebenta, so wag ka magmadali. i saw an ad just yesterday sa sulit.com.ph na 275k lang ata na 316i, pero ang kinis pa. mejo mataas lang ang mileage pero typical eto para sa 13-yr old car.

look up in the forums sa mga maintenance cost/issues ng owning a 2nd hand BMW and decide for yourself.

yun maintenance cost naman, you just have to look around for good deals e. after a few years, you'll get to know where to shop, what to look for, what's the best deal, etc. minsan nga mas mahal pa ang maintenance ng luxury japanese sedan.

I myself have a 97 316i, and although minsan sakit sa ulo at bulsa ng maintenance, ibang klase talaga dalhin ang BMW. maganda tlaga sya. sabi nga sa ibang thread, you don't buy it for practical reasons. kasi if you want to be practical, you'd get a japanese sedan. You'd want one for the handling and the little luxuries inside. Wag ka rin magpapadala sa mga snobs na sasabihing 316i's are only for people na "basta lang magka-BMW". That's BS. buy it because YOU want it.

Wow I don't really know that one well thank your sir sa info na yan, makikita nyo po ung ad sa sulit.com.ph white na 318i so ico-confirm ko po muna yan baka kasi makipag-usap ako tapos in the end its not the "car" that I am looking for. So as for now read and read muna ng forums to know more and besides I agree that if you want to buy it not for the badge only because you crave for it(at least half-truth,hehe). Thanks for the info and I will look for cars in the bulletins and carfinders at sa BnS. Thanks for the reply and clarification.

tama bro! check it first baka yung badge lang ang pinalitan sa likod. anyway having a bmw logo mark on front of your steering wheel is really something different in ride and pride of course. E36 body is the most reliable bimmer made. kaya wag kang kabahan just make sure you get the right car in the right price. maintenance? dont worry andyan ang team ni dondie of euro_care nag seservice sila bro and they have the latest diagnostic as what casa use. 09235587334 / 09196391626 yan ang contact number ni dondie pare. ask ka lang if you need service and parts.

Well I decided to let go of it(work-shifts problems) kasi medyo hirap kumuha ng free sked eh, tuwing rest day pang bawi lang sa tulog(hehe). Anyways with that in facts he also instructed me to wait at least 3 or more months because he is into something and he just want to make sure that priorities are given much attention(I understand his concern) so as of the moment is to research regarding this one specially if this is "it" and hopefully it will. So as of the moment read and read and read until that day comes but I really do acknowledge the inputs. Marami talaga akong natutunan sa mga forums na to and to start things of is to know what an E36 316i is in the first place.........
