saan maganda magpainspect ng imported na bmw?

sabi ng sales agent we have to pay a big fee daw pag sa casa magpapacheck.

how do we identify what year model a bmw is?
am specifically looking at an e36 320i a/t.

what differences are there from year to year?
how do i confirm if it is a 97 model?

    TY!

M/T sana, para mas ma-enjoy mo. Now I get it why you asked for the difference between the M50 and M52

If you can get the last 7 characters of the VIN, enter it at http://www.realoem.com/bmw/select.do and you'll get the build date. The build year isn't always the same year as the car was first registered, esp. if it was almost the end of the year. The VIN is also displayed on the lower corner of the windshield.

That 320i should have the M52. I assume that 320i wasn't imported from the US, since they were sold there only up to 1995 yata ... so watch out for the Nikasil issue that affected non-US M52 engines built before March 1998.
