Yup, there is a source of bimmer surplus parts in Manila - at Autovecs, along E. Rod, near Cubao.

    ale828,
Even the original tail lights become brittle over time due to weather changtes, so the Taiwan replicas will do while its in fashion. Buy another replica when a new fashion tail light comes out before they become brittle too, and their pricing is not so bad. For as long as they do not short circuit or is recognized by the OBC as ok, then I will use them myself.

    josh0027,
As for standard maintenance (change oil/filter, spark plugs, various filters (fuel/AC, air), brake pads (longer than a year), brake fluid check, ATF check) - our cars do get serviced only once a year or even longer like 15 months. Not sure about the M3 specifically as we do not have that, but for the models that we have, the claim is true.

bm5er: Mali pala, dapat sinabi ko e36/e46... iba nga pala M3. My bad. Ganun pala basic maintenance... so kung P24,000+ ang Inspection II, parang 6k lang every 3 months... parang nagmamaintain ka lang ng jap sedan, tama ba? Yung madugo lang ang parts. 50K for aircon service?? 80K for busted sensor(?). =(

I would worried too. Reliability, quality and fitness are not too great on their products. I've once bought a clear sidemarker that was made in Taiwan because it was cheaper than an OEM. When I tried to fit 'em on, I could hear it snapped but loose. So I improvised in fixing it by wrapping a masking tape around the clip to prevent it from movement. But after a week, there was moisture seeped inside the lens creating condensation inside. I wound up replacing it with an OEM clear and didn't have any problem with it since.
