April 26th, 2008 10:54 PM #41we have a E36 320i and 318is coupes and the fuel consumption is pretty much the same. I am getting around 9kms/ltr for my 320i combined city-motorway driving thats without the airconditioner on. Performance is above average with the 318is having much power...and you can feel the difference. 318is is different from the standard 318. I think it has 15% more power. The interior trims tend to loosen and sag...its unbecoming a BMW. I have posted a phot of my 320i and will do for the 318is soon which is on super low springs....just about 4" above the ground. It looks really good and its a head turner.....Go for a BMW...316i? it doesnt matter.

Not to dampen your enthusiasm ... but it's been almost 3 years since the TS posted the question.
I'm pretty sure he'd made up his mind already.

There are lots of sellers online that are located in the Philippines. Cheap is relative to the buyer so it depends on your income. Ricky Chua's shop in UP village is now selling a lot of surplus E36 parts. If you have the money though, buy brand new parts.
Buhay na buhay ang BGC this evening. Bukas halos lahat ng restaurants. Sabi pa nung isang cashier...
