My friend asked me about the new 320d (F30) 2012...but never owned a BMW and no write up or feedback from tsikot community..what can you about this in terms of:

    1. Look (subjective)
    2. Price
    3. Performance
    4. Maintenance
    5. Driving factor (fun? boring? slow?)

I like the look, read information about this car...good feedback naman in terms of performance. But thats about all I know. Three choices, Luxury, Modern, Sports (same prices..different look).

I am excluding the M series as it is higher in terms of cost and performance.

    Diesel fed only..

    1. the front looks good, interior is new design language of bmw, body looks like the old E90, new body compared to end of life Audi A4 and Merc C class
    2. price? ask for a discount with your dealer (haggling skills required)
    3. no idea with bmw diesels (i drive a petrol bimmer)
    4. cheaper to maintain than a mercedes, but bmw service is NOT as good as Cats
    5. bmws are always fun to drive

if i were to order a 3 series, i'd spec it with bixenons/led angel eyes

The 2012 versions have 8speed A/T whil previous models only got 6. And all engines got idling stop system (though may not be as elegant as Mazda's tech). If price wasnt a hindrance this would be my car... So in essence u get one of the best Sport sedans in the planet period!

Kapag long drives ba mag dala kayo spare tire? I know run flats ang BMW but what if nasira na talaga ang tirewall and nasa Ilocos or Mindanao ka ay medyo aabutin ka ng ilang oras or araw bago mapalitan ang gulong.

Can RFT be repaired by your suking vulcanizing shop?

Your dealer won't repair it (because they want to sell you a new one). I had mine repaired at Firestone which happened to be my suki now. Repairing RFT and non RFT uses the same method

They also put out the 318d. Wonder what the price is for an AT (it is a diesel, right?)

Luxury for me...goes with the age.

320d variants cost £28,080 – just £180 more than before – and you can expect the Efficient Dynamics to go down a storm on the company fleets – not only does it cost £20 to tax and brings low Benefit-In-Kind company car tax, but those firms that purchase a 320d ED outright will be able to write off 100 percent of its cost against tax.
