It will be offered with both gasoline and diesel engines options.
Like other BMW models, the ones ending with "d" have diesel engines like the 120d and the ones ending with "i" have gasoline engines like the 135i.
The comlpete lineup hasn't been revealed yet, expect additional gasoline engines. In the UK diesel models are popular, so most of the initial models are diesel powered.
The top 135i model is powered by a (gasoline) twin-turbo 3.0 liter inline-6.

"BMW claims the 135i will sprint to 60 mph in 5.1 sec ....well, they lied, our 135i consistently rips off 4.7-second runs and buzzes through the 1/4 mile in 13.3 sec * 105.6 mph" :cool01:

Well... 5.1 is really a conservative estimate for such a small (but not light) car with so much torque. it's really just a marketing thing... they can't make the 135 faster than the M3 on paper... considering the M3 is their flagship sportscar (discounting the M5,M6... which are sports GTs).
But with that engine? It's likely to be faster than the M3 from a roll.

I'm not sure when or if the 135i will be launched here officially, but expect it to be priced well over P3M.
One thing for sure, it will be priced lower than its bigger brother, the P4.69M 335i coupe.
US prices: 135i vs 335i coupe
2008 BMW 135i Coupe: $34,900
2008 BMW 335i Coupe: $40,800
The Evo X when brought in officially by Mitsubishi should start at under P3M(most gray market Evo X prices are P3.2M+)Last edited by AG4; April 20th, 2008 at 03:15 AM.

I was hoping parang Evo x lang since US prices are almost the same? Sti's are 2.35 and they all have basically the same sticker prices in the states....
but sadly you are right, 135s will cost over 3m.... sad. grabe pala ung pricing ng 335i coupe dito considering it only costs a bit more than an Evo MR in the Us.

April 22nd, 2008 08:34 PM #29I inquired from Autozentrum Alabang yesterday regarding the availabilty of the 135i. SA Jasper told me he'd get back to me today but nada.
1 option would be the gray market price would not be far from the Evo X but no warranties. Service would not be a problem if you know where the importers bring their cars.
