    that depends.

    if you are going to re-paint it so's you can get a better price... check the competition, first. baka lugi kayo sa pag-pinta. it might be better to just sell it, as is.

    if you are re-painting it with intention to use it afterward, instead of buying a more expensive car... it may not be as bad a move as initially seemed.

    if you intend to spend a huge amount of money to restore it to concours...
    it's a labor of love and i don't question labors of love.
