I mean washing your ride with just plain water. No shampoos.

Condition naman is hindi putikan. Yung tipong alikabok lang ang dumi.

What are the pros and cons. :?:

i think that the effect is the same as washing your hair ng tubig lang ginagamit mo, walang shampoo or taking a bath ng walang sabon, as in pabuhos buhos lang.

what i mean to say is that nandun pa rin siguro yung deep seated na dumi, dirt, mud or other pollutants. hindi nga lang nakikita ng naked eye.

Agree ako diyan. Try hosing down your car
with water and then drying it up with chamois.
Ang dumi ng punasan at hindi lahat ng dumi
    ay natatanggal sa kotse.
Kung alikabok lang naman eh di duster lang
    ang gamitin mo.

Kung alikabok lang at walang putik, oil, etc. then it's alright to clean it with just plain water. :D

Thanks for the reply peeps :D

What I usually do kasi is use a very large soft sponge then punas with an accompanying grip para lumabas ang tubig. Then pag tinutuyo ko na, hindi naman madumi yung chamois thus I presume that the water ang sponge took care of the dirt.

I learned from a friend na pag nag pupunas, imagine na nag pupunas ka ng "sugat". So very gentle and no or very minimal pressure is necessary.

    For me advantages are:
    mas matipid (no shampoos needed)
mas mabilis at madali mag linis
    mas tumatagal ang wax

    Disadvantage:
as mentioned, some deep seated dirt may not be washed away.

But I make it a point that I shampoo my ride atleast once a month. Perhaps the wax will take care of the "unseen" deep seated dirt until the next shampoo.

    What do you think

    Pareho tayo...

hosing down with water and dry with Chamois twice a week... Wash with shampoo every week or at most every 10 days... but we do make it a point to wax after the shampoo and drying...

Our only difference is in your use of sponge. We use instead at least two to three
sets of MF towel while hosing down with water... better than sponge in removing superficial dusts and dirt and in avoiding scratches and swirl marks.

Washing with H20...the effects
