lift the weatherstrip (yung goma) up and you will probably see more rust. don't worry. that weatherstrip is designed for easy removal and installation.
use sandpaper or metal brush to remove what rust you can.
remove oils and grease, then apply the rust treatment.
after overnight, clean off and re-install the weatherstrip rubber.
some folks may want to paint the exposed metal surface to make it more appealing.

    kung mamalasin,
upon cleaning off the rust, you might discover that there is considerably more rust there than you imagined.
    good luck.

Nagmamarka talaga yung suction cup nung car umbrella.

Minsan walang marka, minsan meron, ito yung mga matitibay.

Already tried clay, compound and polish kaso di nawala.

Used DA with Polishing pad tho. Takot pa sa cutting/wool pad hehe.

Yung ginawa ko sakin nung una is clay then collinite 845 na agad. Pansin ko madaling natangal yung wax (pero infairness, walang shade yung parking dito sa workplace so naaarawan at nauulanan sya). Tinry ko naman ngayon mag IPA (isopropyl alcohol) wipe after claying then collinite 845. Testing ko muna anong epekto sa durability.

Had no chance to try other products (like cleaner wax) kasi lockdown pa kami sa work.

Wow. Eto ba yung nilalagay na parang portable canopy sa car? Ito pala yung downside nya. Just yesterday one of my co workers bought a portable canopy sa kasamahan lang din namin. Used at 3500 i think.

Yup, kung totally dry yung surface ok lang.

Kaso pag malakas ulan nababasa parin yung roof, then most likely nag si-sip in dun sa suction area kaya nag stick yung dumi.

    Baka wet sanding na need.

Thanks I'll do that. Ang hirap din kasi mag kaio + ksg. Dati ginawa ko 3 layers of ksg ata "Tamang OC lang" - a newbie's guide to car appearance maintenance
