How Often Do You Wax Your Car?

Our car's exterior contains harmful chemical from the sun, rain, salt, and other environmental hazards. One of the best ways to protect our car's exterior is by regularly waxing it. What I do before is to ask my mechanic if my car needs waxing. Two years ago, he suggests we do it at least four times a year, or every three months. And up until now, I've been following it. i don't wax my car. just water and some soap.
but i do have roofed garage, at home and at the workplace.
after several years, the finish still looks good.

A roofed garage is still better than any wax though I do wax my car on a periodic basis. Say every 2 months.
