There are 3 types of car covers.

Type 1 is made of light material. Weighs 2-3 kg. Water-resistant only. Good for protection against sun, dust, dirt, light rain shower. If heavy rain or continuous rain more than 1 hour, water will still pass through.

Type 2 is same material of Type 1 but with added cotton or fiber layer underneath. Weights 3-4 kg. Also water-resistant only.

Type 3 is made of thick material. Weighs 5-6+ kg. This is waterproof but really heavy.

You need a covered garage not a car cover

I've tried a lot of brands... autoform, concorde, deflector at sportech.. lahat nasira after 1 year.. i guess it will last long pag indoor use pero pag outdoor, swerte pag umabot ng 1 year. Rule pa din syempre to clean your car before putting your car cover pero ako wax every month. I mainly use my car cover for bird droppings and doggies pati stray cats:p

I conclude walang matibay na car cover sa weather dito sa pinas ipunin ang budget at magpagawa ng covered garage or tent if possible. As for me I'd go for autoform medyo mura compare sa iba, same lang naman ng lifespan
