i got this nasty dried-on white stuff on this 5yo car's cladding, won't come off even with strong detergents or vinegar. probably from hard water

so i tried some watermarks remover for glass, has acids in it. instantly nuked the white stuff probably safe, right? plastics generally aren't harmed by acids especially if you wash it off asap

now i'm thinking of washing the cars w/ softened water. i got bunch of yellow filter cartridges lying around anyway (ion exchange resin)

Careful lang nito, I have plastic bumper coated in gray color.
When I cleaned the rear windshield at may tumulo sa gray bumper, nagkaroon ng white spots after wards.
Ayaw na matanggal hanggang ngayon, buti nalang hindi masyadaong halata if sa malayo since gray yung plastic panel.

tnx for the head up. yeah gotta be careful w/ this stuff. sa glass i even put masking tape to keep the acids from going where they shouldn't

pero sa bare uncoated plastic, seems to be safe. will do more testing. don't wanna ruin all my cladding LOL

Pinarepaint ko yung front plastic trims ko pero it started to flake and chip off after just 2 months meron bang mas permanent na solution to this (aside from replacing the entire thing)? Or di lang maganda ung pagkakarepaint?

hindi lang maayos pagka-prep ng surface at apply ng primer kaya natutuklap ang pintura. hanap ka ng shop na eksperto magpaint ng plastic trims...
