Anyway, MVPMAP it seems has not abandoned its plan of coming up with an PHUV (although the e-PHUV model and not the diesel fed one) especially when they have created a unit dedicated to it--the PHUV, Inc.

they probably realized (finally) the PhUV cannot compete with foreign brand utility vehicles in the market (when it comes to quality, cost, and pricing)

so they're turning the PhUV into something with no local competition

and since they already have customers for e-jeepneys, those same customers might be interested in another type of electric vehicle

La Salle has an e-jeepney that plys through De La Salle University, CSB, AKIC and SDA building. The guards and maintenance folk in CSB told me that they are already noticing that the battery is already showing signs of quicker discharging which took them by surprise, considering that it has only been in service for 3 months, catering to a few students and a very limited route.

Wala namang kaso ng premature battery failure sa mga ejeepney e.

You can quote all the info you can download from the net, but you can never beat hands on practical knowledge. Akala mo kasi pag iprint mo dito sa Tsikot ay papaniwalaan ka na dapat. (at pinapaniwalaan mo agad ang sarili mo)

this unit is imported CBU from China. It should not be called an ejeepney. Kaya pangit ang batteries nya.

The ones we use are from Motolite. Proudly Pinoy Made! No problems encountered since Nov 2009.
