I had it worse. I was accused of having commercial interest in the MVPMAP PhUV project. As if I were a member of MVPMAP. I don't even have a financial interest in any automotive-related business!

Hey! That is one POSITIVE way of looking at it. I like that.

That gives me great hope for the Tsikot Phuv. We are definitely capable, even more so with the type of advance planning and research being done.
I guess that is what everyone is hoping for.

All this forum talk has also shaken some talented individuals out of the woodwork (That Tableta certainly looks promising!).
    You can say that again!

I wish I had this resource when we were designing our first airgun!
Well, you have it now. No reason not to use it for future designs, right?

Hmm..the tableta....nice! Its unique form will give it a pinoy-distinctive look.
Exactly my sentiments. But I am still trying to dissect the lines to see why I (and now you) regard it as pinoy in character. Any idea?

It is just the kind of funky-cute that will appeal to the younger generation of drivers, but, it seems that it is better suited as a smaller brother to the phuv.
    That is certainly a possibility.

I can't picture it in utility vehicle format, can anybody help with the visualizations please?
I think someone is working on it.

I didn't mean that it made me think of it as "pinoy" in character. I meant that its unique looks might eventually be something that becomes distinctive as "pinoy-designed". We may be on to something here, and I do believe that it deserves a bit of attention to see where it can go. I believe foifoi might have inadvertently given us a direction. Instead of the trad boxy shapes of modded jeepneys, AUV's, and SUV-inspired creations, the rounded form of the Tableta gives a more organic feel to it that can bring "life" back to our clogged streets.

But isn't it weird that the word Tableta brings to mind boxy geometric shapes? Well at least to me. I'm still trying to make the mental leap to equate the name with pharmaceutical tablets, as I'm thinking of a graphics tablet or Tablet PC's, hehe.

I prefer "Logbi". But that sounds like something I'd order from a sidewalk food cart.

Oh, okay. Actually for me, I find it pinoy in character, much like when you look at certain buildings or houses and you know right away those were designed by Filipino architects. As such, I have a strong feeling it has a very good potential to be a Filipino automotive icon.

Yes the Tableta reminds of a mix of Legos and (colored) Froebel blocks. But I forgot to ask foifoi just what exactly he was alluding to when he named it Tableta.

    Logbi as in Bilog?

yea, as in bilog, hehe...I was trying to be clever...

I think I know why it reminds me of a pinoy creation, it came to me in a song.

    You crack me up. LOL

Well assuming it is the front that reminds you of the Pinoy nose, what does the rear remind you of?

Well, if the Tableta's curvaceous rear is any indication of its driveability and pinay roots, lets just say that I'd like to ride it.

Sorry mods, ok, enough OT. Just a lil lighthearted banter hehe. Sir Architect, I've distracted you enough.

I cant help it. But I got it, sir.

Any way, sir architect, aside from being an advocate of the PHUV, if I will see the final--vastly improved--final production unit of the PHUv, I might buy one.

Our family has been supporting locally manufactured vehicles. For the last two decades we had purchased the following: Cavite-made, williy's type owner-type jeep (1981); cavite-made, modified owner type jeep (with dashboard and mags; 1986); Castro AUV-HsPUR w/analok enclosure (1989); Carter Masa (1991); L300 FB with locally-fabricated body (2001); Cavite-made, modified (hi-side pick up) owner-type jeep(2003).

Cguro, tableta PHUV? sa 2008. why not di po ba?

matapos lang po ang PHUV at maganda. may customer na sila dito sa Cavite.

ehnriko, one of the original advocates is also based in Cavite. He is scheduled to come back to the Phil next month. He has space there to fabricate the PhUV. Made-in-Cavite.

*ogpro, appending my reply here para d ma OT. - More than you will ever know. (Made me think of some of my UCLA classmates from before. You know, the type with prominent rears.)

    *Drey,

No need anymore to take photos of the MOA shuttle bus. Personally, I don't think the Tableta resembles the bus. At any rate, the Tableta is 100x cuter.
