it was attempted in the past. the authorities felt that the high fines would deter would-be violators.
well, the "would-be violators" complained that the fines were too high, and would only promote bribery.
... as if these would-be-violators were already planning to violate...

    the authorities backed down.

i am wondering, who are the real authorities ?

kung ano-ano kalokohan na iisip natin, pero eto talaga ang solusyon, paandarin ulet ang MRT...

MRT has 13 stations, multiplied by 2 because it has two directions so its 26...

now from 13 working trains, we now have 22, thanks to its new maintenance contractor...

    iba ka talaga digong

Gusto talaga ng gobyerno ang traffic. Nababawasan ang nakukuha nilang tongpats sa fuel. Kaya nga na ban agad ang plastic dahil sa pagkakatuklas sa pyrolysis. Process of converting plastic back to oil.

Er, it was the previous administration who spearheaded the purchase of those trains.

Why MRT-3’s new coaches run only on weekends | News | GMA News Online

Also, the MRT's current maintenance contractor, the Busan group, was awarded the contract during the previous administration's time.

I don't know if you're familiar, but the procurement process takes way more than Duterte's 6 months in office.

I have been saying this since the campaign period and have painstakingly explained the entire scenario in an objective and factual manner to you. Unfortunately, your hate for the previous administration has clouded your perception.

What annoys me is that aside from failing to acknowledge the right things the past admin has done, you're incorrectly attributing them to Duterte. Learn to give credit where credit is due.

I noticed there has been less long lines lately. Beside more trains, there is an effort to encourage passenger to purchase the tickets off station and those point to point buses...

It depends on the location of the elevated road. It should not contribute to more traffic to a congested area.

Simplified drawing of traffic going to Makati.

The Skyway was built which increased the traffic to Makati.

Here's an analogy that explains why the Skyway is a bad idea:

Let's say you're in a queue that is moving slowly to a window at a counter. Then another line is formed next to your line. But instead of going to another window, this new line merges with your line. This slows down the movement of your line.

Your line = ground level roads to Makati
    New line = Skyway

This is why the Skyway made the traffic worst.

The solution is open another window at the counter.

So in this analogy: New window = more roads in Makati.

    Solution:

How to increase the road area in Makati? Since existing roads in Makati could not be widened anymore, elevated roads could be built on top of existing roads in Makati. The main roads in Makati (such as Buendia and Ayala) should have two levels. The traffic in the ground level moves in one direction and the traffic in the second level moves in the opposite direction.

In other words, the Skyway should be in Makati, not going to Makati.

how to solve the mrt problem?
have it run by those who know how to run it.
and don't scrimp on the budget.
    scrimp budget... scrimp performance.

They stopped paying the current contractor diba? This will further hurt the commuters. Hope they award it to the previous contractor even if the cost is significantly higher, but the red tape is shytty...

busan is suing that they have not been paid.
govt is claiming, busan is not living up to required expectation.

as an example... govt man says busan purchased a specialized part, but could not prove provenance, as required by contract.
it seems the receipt they showed, was addressed to a shop in... evangelista! ...owned (in part?) by a person sharing the same name with someone working for the railway company.
so the question radio announcer was asking is, "was this specialized part kahoy-ed from the train, spirited out, and re-sold to busan, to be re-installed in that very-same train...? (or something like that)

    masalimuot...
