I'm experiencing the same sounds but only if I go any higher than the Lo setting.
As you go higher up the scale, the noise worsens until it's a very shrill "VREEEEEE!!!" at the highest setting.
When the aircon is off, there is no sound. I traced it to be at the blower motor. If this is the case, do I just lubricate stuff or will I need a new blower motor?
I may have to go back to CeeJay's for this. Not that it's related, but it came out a week or two after my visit to them.
Hopefully, it's a cheap and easy fix.
Any advice and tips, if you got 'em, are certainly most welcome!

Hi All!
I'm updating from my post above.
I finally found the source of my whistling sound, it was the passenger side vent that was closed. Apparently it isn't fully closed and when more air passes through it, like when you go to higher fan settings, it makes the noise. I opened the vent and tried all settings and the noise was gone!
