For those who are going for a complete engine overhaul, take this opportunity to go Evans Waterless Coolant & stop worrying about periodic coolant swaps. Evans CANNOT be mixed w/ water. System should ideally be free of water upon switching.

Coolant degradation varies from 1 vehicle to another.....Use a digital pH meter, sir.

    New water pump.

More often than not, water pump talaga ang salarin sa overheating. Ended up replacing the radiator (well due narin naman talaga for replacement) thermostat and radiator cap. Water pump pala ang sira. Pero ok lang at least my cooling system is top notch again.

GMB water pump 2,800 bili ko. Not bad. Magandang brand na raw ito.
Grats at nabawasan sakit ng ulo mo![emoji16]
Saan mo napagawa ang water pump replacement?

Hi, just for my learning lang...I understand it is a 2009 Sorento with proper Coolant on the cooling system, so how many km the engine had accumulated before that pump impeller was totally eaten out? Would just like to know para sa mga old vehicle ko to estimate when should I replace my water pump din. Thanks.

It is generally recommended to replace the pump when you replace the timing belt.

    The reason is...
