If your car is running tapos pinuno mo yung reservoir aapaw talaga yan.
Baka you filled up the reservoir too much while the car is still in motion.

September 27th, 2005 06:27 AM #23Good thing I see this thread.
I used the Crosswind of my father-in-law last Sunday and had it carwashed and checked at Petron. Pinataas ko and I found out na nagli-leak yung coolant. It's coming from the bottom tube, pinahigpitan ko pero tumutulo pa rin although hindi naman kalakasan pero napansin ko na siguro medyo matagal ng tumatagas kasi yung mga tinamaan ng coolant parang nagmantsa na. So, saan ko kaya pwedeng dalhin ang sasakyan for this problem?

Sir Bistro,
As a rule, kapag tumataas temp mo sa stop and go traffic--thermostat. Water level sa reservoir should be as recommended: between the MAX and MIN. Normally, when you turn off the engine, heated water goes to reservoir (kaya di dapat punong-puno ng tubig ito, otherwise tatapon talaga). when the engine cools off, water will go back to the radiator--this is assuming na intact ang VACUUM ng system mo. In this case mukhang may leak sa system: Causes include: butas sa radiator at hoses, reservoir cover, gaskets, etc... Waterpump, pwede, kasi you have overheating. Marami talagang masisira y an.
Just my humble opinion.

September 28th, 2005 10:49 AM #26waterpumps will leak when sira na sila. normally di naman sila titigil umikot kasi they are belt driven. kung walang leak wag mo palitan yung waterpump.
