    HI

normal lang ba na after 10 to 15 minutes nakabukas ang makina, when you try to open your radiator e tumatalsik ang tubig at radiator cap at mainit ang tubig? everyday tuloy nilalagyan ko ng tubig radiator para maiwasan mag overheat. :?

and also after 15mins yung temp ko rises sa middle ng C and H. ok lang ba to? what could be the problem?

try keeping the radiator reserve full and at least with a 50/50 mixture of coolant and water......it happened to me before.....the usual na sakit ng liteace.....temperature problems.....what I did?!.......overhauled the radiator....had it cleaned and repaired then I put 50/50 mixture of coolant and water......up to now.....I never had any overheating problems.......:D

ayon sa aking kaunting nalalaman, a cars cooling system has this thing called a thermostat. its purpose is to help your car reach its normal operating temp in the soonest possible time and to maintain it at that temp. kapag malamig pa yung kotse, nakaclose sya para wag muna magcirculate yung cooling water mo from radiator to makina kaya mabilis sya uminit. once mareach na nya yung ideal temp, bubukas na sya para pumasok na yung tubig from radiator to makina para wag magoverheat..

Does your ride loose water when it's parked as well or only when it's running? Constantly leaking water when the engine is running could also be attributed to a broken water pump... just make sure the water dripping isnt coming from the a/c system.

If your radiator cap is already a few years old, change it to a new one as well (it's pretty cheap naman) for radiator caps also tend to get weak (thus can leak water) in terms of holding pressure when they get old.

Check all the hoses as well for any loose clamps ir if they're already brittle.

    Hi ,

This problem just happen to our car. The temp will rise when travelling at SLEX or at high speed.for some time. So Normally we will slowdown or off the Aircon and then the temp will not rise anymore.

We went to casa and and 2 more shops to check on this and have come up that the radiator might have been clogged. true enough it was clogged with rust and stuff that is why the flow cooling watee is minimized. We have it flushed and cleaned thoroughly and after that the car temps works perfectly well such that the temp does not rise that high anymore. We are also advised to do flushing yearly on the radiator.

hopes this helps and always look at the cooling water level. sabi nila kapag after running and a few weeks na hindi bumababa ang level ng cooling water (50/50) eh baka nga clogged ang radiator.

    all are correct!
    tip.
kung made of hard plastic ang top and bottom ng radiator mo, pa tanso mo na rin kung papa overhaul mo tutal naka kalas na eh
    tip.
always bring water, kahit lagay mo sa 2 liter coke container
    tip.
    isip pa ako.. later

Pressurized ang cooling system ng engine.
10 mins is more than enough to get the engine to it's normal operating temp.
If you lose water over a short period of time, you may have leaks but it may also mean that you have air pockets lang in your cooling system.
You shouldnt replenish your radiator thru the cap only thru the overflow tank unless you've just changed coolant/water.
The system will draw in the water from the overflow tank when the engien cools down if everything is working as it should.

    Cool gal,

but seriously the temperature between C and H is normal considering you have already started it 10 mins already. matagal na yon sakin 5 mins. lang nasa gitna na.

Question, gaano kabilis maubos yung tubig sa radiator mo? marami kasing reason.

I think there is a problem with your cooling system, may restriction or sediments/rust particles blockage which causes your temp to overheat. Buy a good radiator flushing solution (I highly recommend Prestone Power Flush) and give your radiator a good flush preferably a back flush. Put a 50/50 coolant and distilled water mix after the flush. Check also your hoses for brittleness and leaks, it may be due for replacement. Now, if your temp is going past beyond the half mark after reaching the operating temp, your thermostat might be defective have it replaced.

tama yung sinabi ni autoxer, kung may reservoir tank ang kotse mo.. dun ka dapat nagfifill.. kung wala.. no choice but dun sa radiator cap.. just like our cars...

Cool gal, you can have it checked sa certified mechanics, dun ka na pumunta sa mga reputable shops.

I have the same case like that, dinala ko sa servitek. They check the entire cooling system from reservoir, to the hoses, radiators, water pump, and gaskets. they found the cause of the leak is in the gasket. so nilagyan lang ng sealant and walah solve yung problema.

kung kelangan mo yung silicone sealant pahiramin kita, dami pa kasi sobra eh
