thnx sa response treborhon. Wala naman leak ang overflow container. Walang noticeable leaks anywhere when left parked overnight.

At any rate, masakit sa bulsa pero oks na ang ride ko. Salamat sa lahat ng nag respond sa thread.

Eto po summary for reference purposes:

Problem: Radiator overflow container not returning water to radiator. Temp hitting high. Loosing water on Rad. Several long drive incidents hit the 3/4 mark which alarmed me to have it checked by a mechanic.

Cause/Diagnosis: Pressure build-up on cooling system. Rad is filled up with air/gases coming from engine and fills up overflow container. Rad hoses are hardened after few minutes of driving. Bubbles on the rad opening.

Culprit: Cylinder Head, Cylinder Head Gasket

    Resolution/Cost:
    1. Top overhaul labor / 3,000
    2. Replace Cylinder Head Gasket / 1,800
    3. Machine shop works e.g. hyro/crack test, cyl head resurface, valve guide reface etc. / 3500
    4. ReplaceValve seals and related parts / 2,500
    5. Calibration and replace faulty injector tips / 4,500
    6. Change engine oil, ATF, 30% coolant / 2,500

    Testing / Results:

Day 1 Testing: Drove for 75kms, Driving condition; afternoon, highway and few traffic
Result: Water on Radiator and Overflow container were not consumed even a bit.

Day 2 Testing: Drove for 246kms(Tarlac-Alaminos-Sta Cruz Zambales), driving condition; hot summer condition b/n 8am and 4pm, 2 x 30min stop overs, moderate to heavy traffics, 4 to 6km off-road detour.
Result: Water/Coolant on radiator was not consumed. Overflow container consumed about 100-150ml. .

Day 3 Testing: Drove for 200kms(Sta Cruz Zambales-Subic-Pampanga), driving condition; hot summer condition b/n 12:30pm & 3:30pm, no stopovers, zero traffic.
Result: Water/Coolant on radiator were not consumed. Reservoir has very minimal h20/coolant consumption to notice.

Overall result was satisfactory. Temp gauge peaked slightly before the 1/2 mark during hot traffic, overtaking and constant uphill. It stays slightly after the 1/4 mark during normal cruising.

Sir not sure about the clip pero dalawang part ng radiator ang pinapalitan ko ng brass. Yung top at yung base ng top part ng rad. Yung Top sa baguio nung 2006 pa at ok pa until now, nung bumigay yung base, dito ko na sa pampanga pinagawa last year lang and it cost me more or less 1,500 kasama na overhaul ng Rad. Pwede ko kayo samahan sa radiator shop, at shop na gumawa ng cylinder head ko if you wish sir.

    Bro.,
Check mo rin yung fan belt kasi sabi mo nag rev ka tapos wala pagbabago sa fan rpm mo (dapat tataas din yung rpm nia and it will equate to increase in the airflow papunta sa radiator), it could be the problem. High revs will increase pump flow rates going to the radiator and if the air flow is not sufficient, hence it will cause the radiator to overheat, making the water turn to vapor rushing to the reservoir.

Bro sa EXL sa Petron, harap lang ng St Raphael Hospital, along McArthur Hiway. Iisa lang naman Petron doon. Hanapin mo si Jeff. Medyo mataas ata yung 25K bro. unless damaged at kelangan palitan yung cylinder head mo (wag sana).

    regards
    Chris

bro coolant is quite bad for the radiator and cooling system of the car if it is excessive.you may have your thermostat valve removed since pinas is a tropical country.have your radiator overhauled.masama ung coolant pag matagal.bumabara sa mga tubes ng radiator.use pure mineral water, ung iniinom.i also travel long distance every weekend and never experienced temperature problems.in short, wag ka na magcoolant.use mineral water only.it is also a good habit to flush your radiator bago mag long distance para bago palagi tubig na nagcicirculate.
