overheat ba o hindi?

nagpanic ako kanina yung gauge sa temp ko, lampas pula na, pinalagyan ko tubig agad, di naman overheat... pano ko ba i-adjust para maging tama? nakaka praning kasi eh! thanks!

Only you can tell if it is overheating or not and what exactly mean adjusted. Anyway, maybe the coolant temperature sensor is malfunction, usually the sensor is located on the engine block near the coolant hose, replace it.

yan ang wag na wag ninyong gagawin, adding water to an overheated na engine. even opening your radiator cap is a no no as it would release steam which would most likely give you at the most a 2nd degree burn. let the engine cool muna, then twist the cap enough for it to just release the steam on the side. you should have a rug big enough to shield your hands from the steam. add water if you are really sure the engine has cooled down, otherwise you should add water while the engine is ruuning.

baka nga yung sensor may sira... di naman nago-overheat eh, naka stuck lang sa red line yung gauge... palitan ko na lang siguro. thanks v6dreamer!

*afrasay: Thanks! I know it's dangerous to add water when the engine is indeed overheated. But, say perhaps, all precautions have been made and the cap has been successfully removed, do I still need to let the engine cool down? How can I let the engine cool down if it's running? Or do I let it run after it has cooled down? Thanks!

it means kahit i-off mo yun engine naka stock pa rin sa red line yun temp gauge mo?

don't panic whenever the gauge reached the red limit, let it idle lang with a/c off., observe kung bababa, that way it could help to speed up the cooling - kung may coolant/water pa. check the belt (water pump) baka loose or worst lagot. reservoir water level - kung tuyot and never open the rad cap. then off mo engine to cool before adding coolant/water.

Pag naka-off yung sasakyan, bumababa ang temp. pero pagkastart, derechong red line na. HIndi naman nago-overheat, nas-stuck lang talaga yung gauge. Pano ba remedyohan to? Kasi kahit alam kong hindi overheat, nakakapraning lang makita na nasa red line na gauge!

check the sensor muna baka dun lang. if hindi sira yung temp sensor then you might have to replace the gauge itself.

Mga Sir, ask lang po ako ng help... Bumili kasi ako ng Nissan ECCS 91 model about 1 month ago... biglang ng-overheat... pero prior dun naka bukas ung aircon ko kaya lang walang lamig... then napansin ko na lang na lagpas na ng red ung sa Temp gauge ko... so what i did.. dahil first time kong na-encounter ung ganito, medyo nataranta ako. Pinatay ko yung aircon ko then ung car tapos binuksan ko ung hood ng car. nakita ko medyo kumukulo ung nsa plastic na katabi ng radiator. kumuha ako ng basahan then binuksan ko yung radiator cap... bumulwak yung tubig buti na lang hindi tumama sa mukha ko and wala naman akong paso... pero naramdaman ko na mainit ung tubig. (Thanks God)... anyway, nakita ko na hindi pareho gumagana ung fan ko kahit nabukas yung aircon ko. dinala ko sya sa mekaniko tapos ang ginawa nya kinabit nya ung fan ko sa compressor ko then naka tap sya battery ko. so everytime, na bubuksan ko ung aircon ko, bukas na din yung fan ko.. pag pinatay ko ung AC ko patay din ung fan ko.. ang sabi ko sa mekaniko kung safe ba to, well ang sabi nya safe daw.. kinabit lang daw nya yung fan sa compressor and sa battery para dun kumuha ng kuryente...

Mga sir, ask ko lang po kung safe ba yung car ko base sa sinabi o ginawa ng mekaniko at pang matagalan po ba yun?

auxilliary fan ba yun kinabit sa aircon? iba pa ba yung cooling fan mo sa radiator?
