When I had my aircon cleaned yesterday in danknee, Danny showed me the container for the aircon filter which was empty. Did HONDA deliberately not put the filter? He told me to just buy an aircon filter for window type aircons and use them instead. Did you also discover this?

The microfilter is pretty useless unless you drive in non-recirc mode all the time since it filters air coming in from the base of the windshield.

If you are in recirc mode, air is drawn from behind/underneath the dashboard.

Yes, you can use home a/c filters (e.g. from 3M) if you really want to put in a filter

Thanks for the info. I already installed 3M filterette but I noticed there was a gradual decrease in ac blower. Before that, they used nylon screen, and this didn't have any effect on the blower.

that means the filtrete is working! the nylon filter may have better airflow but just look at the size of those holes, doesnt filter anything really, just huge particles.
