madalas thermostat, pero sakit talaga ng lite ace ang overheat lalo na sa init sa phils mga iba dinadagdagan ng aux fan paltan m n din mg bago aux fan m bka mahina na. tapos gawa ka optional na switch kasi malakas sa kuryente aux fan. try mo pagawa sa mga nag aircon.
Lite Aces are CBU, am i right? I guess, the reason why they are prone to overheating is that they have relatively small radiators not suited for Phil. climate, in other words, they are not tropicalized.
im having problems w/ my liteace din. ang dami ko na nagagastos because of overheating.
first is the replacement of the gaskets and the cylinderheads were "shaved" in a machine shop. then pinalitan yung pinagkakabitan ng radiator cap. hindi na gaano tumataas yung temp.
then after 2 weeks i saw a very very small leak sa radiator. i had it fixed. pero after a month, umiinit na naman.
saan kaya pwede magpagawa ng mas magandang radiator for the liteace? magkano kaya?
One of the radiator shop ( REAL RADIATOR SHOP) quotes me to clean/overhaul the radiator for 1.2k.. ok na ba price nito?? it takes 3-4 hours ang job nato..
But he told me one month warranty lang sa leak, NO WARRANTY sa overheat...

sa akin, nagbayad ako sa talyer ng 800pesos to remove my radiator kasi mahirap daw tanggalin ang radiator ng liteace as compared to cars. i think tinanggal pa nila yung seats ko just to remove the radiator. tapos sila na ang nagdala sa radiator shop somewhere in e.rod. the radiator shop checked and sealed the leaks for 450pesos. so a total of 1250pesos.
if you have a car, malamang mas mura sa 1250.
Liteace GXL... kaya lang ang main problem ko is overheat... kaso say nila NO WARRANTY on overheat, hanggan LEAK LANG SILA..
I'm having second thoughts on having it cleaned tapos mag-overheat din after a week..
Tanong ko lang lahat ba ng LITEACE may aux fan in front of condenser?? kasi on my ride di ko makita kasi nakaharang sa ilalim yung condenser ng rear aircon sa ilalim..

Bakit sabi nila maliit ang radiator ng Liteace. Pero nung tinigna ko radiator ng Liteace ko malapad sya, kasing lapad ng evaporator. Or baka naman manipis ang ibig nyong sabihin? Can't compare sa ibang Liteace kasi hindi pa naman ako nakakita ng ibang Liteace. BTW kabibili ko lang kasi nito. and I want to improve it's performance, hindi ko pa naman na-experience ang mag-overheat, and I don't want that to happen.
ung akin nag overheat because of clogged radiators, ang ginawa ko, pinalinis ko, ok naman, then pinapalitan ko yung labi na pinaglalagyan ng cap at yung cap mismo, then i poured ung "quick fix" na sealant for cooling system(for those troublesome pinholes), kasi di nagppresurized yun system ko, hindi nya hinihigop ulit ung laman ng "puke-tank",e...hope by this time humigop na siya.sana makapagpalit na ako din ng alternator para constant at max. speed ang mga aux fans ko, even under full load(aircon,lights,wiper,AV-system).
mines a 2c-te matic 4wd, kaya mas madaming factors din kaya nagooverheat(may turbo, at matic) compared sa local na manual tranny at non-turbo engine pero kasi ung akin dual-radiator syatem na, stock JDM set-up po yun, kaya, i refuse na mag-overheat liteace ko...ma 3 aux fans at 1 clutch fan(na di fixed)pa...
ang wala lang sa liteace ko na gusto ko palagay are oil-coolers(for the engine and matic) at kung papalarin, dadag-dagan ko ng intercooler ang air intake piping-->para intercooled-turbo siya)
Our family wants to get a lite ace, paano ko malalaman kung may over heat problem cya? patukbuhan ko ang makina ng 15% na may A/C ba ????
Ibilad mo sa araw, tapos running at idle only, buksan mo aircon full blast. Check how long before the temp needle goes beyond halfway, if it does at all. This should simulate a bad traffic day on EDSA.
As for the other questions here, our Lite Ace has 3 fans, the viscous clutch fan on the engine and one electric fan each on the 2 condensers. That's how it was when we got it 4 years ago. I think the fan on the condenser next to the radiator was just added on, judging from the mounting brackets used. IOW, obvious na hindi stock.
I've never had overheating problems with this vehicle since the radiator cap fiasco I posted earlier on this thread.
I don't know if this is still relevant, medyo matagal nang na-post yung mga tanong e, but HTH.
Most of the time repair shops recommends repairing or replacing radiators, replacing cylender head gaskets, etc. What evryone should do is first try simple solutions first before they get into the hard ones, like cleaning the condensers in front of the radiators with high pressure water and soap and rinsing it for about five minutes solves most overheating problems.
Check also the radiator cap if it has no leak and correct pressure. Also advisable is putting 50/50 coolant and distilled water. This does not stop overheating per se but it maintains cleanliness of the radiators and the engine block which prevents them from rusting, preventing future overheating.
We experienced the same problem. Pag nakatigil ng matagal and the aircon is running, umaakyat ang temp. Nawawala din ang lamig ng aircon.
The problem was caused by the auxilliary fan ( hindi umaandar.) There are 2 fans on the radiator, and only 1 was spinning. If the aircon is ON, dapat parehong umiikot yun.
Just pop the hood, and check if both fans are spinning.
mga boss! newbie here... i just bought a 1994 toyota liteace gxl sabi ng may ari bago bilhin ang problema nga daw is your overheating pag halimbawa traffic tumtaas ang temp lalo na pag nak on yung aircon...so ang gingawa niya daw pinpatay niya lang yung aircon sa likod tapos nag no-normalize na daw ang temp...tapos na consult na daw niya sa mechanic niya about the problem...ang sabi daw dapat paghiwalayin yung condenser sa radiator...kasi magkatapat daw yun...question is... totoo ba to? or may nakatry na ba sa inyo nito? baka kasi sayang lang gastos tapos ganun din pala... meron din nagsabi na magdagdag daw ng aux fan...ano ba dapat sir ang best possible solution??? help naman dyan...salamat!![]()
