could be the thermostat....madalas nasa likod ito ng maliit na compartment(don't know the exact term) sa harap ng passenger seat. pwedeng masyadong low temp ang setting kaya dere-derecho compressor mo...you can turn the knob to adjust the setting..observe mo na lang yun mangyayaring pagbabago....

replace your thermostat anyway mura lang naman yan around 500 to 600 petot lang. but before you go to a/c shop check first the aux fan of the condenser if still working normal minsan kasi yan ang culprit kaya hindi nagwork properly ang thermostat. High pressure ang comp kapag hindi na maganda ang heat transfer sa condenser so ang tendency mag overload ang compressor at magiging on/off ang situation ng comp mo.

ok.... experienced that too the other night lang.
while driving home, i noticed na ang lakas sumipa ng compressor ko pag nageengage. dati hindi naman sya ganito. and besides, may naririning akong sumisipol pag umuuhip ang hangin from the vents.
i was on leave yesterday, my original schedule was to go to cruven to have my bushings checked, but from alabang, where i bought muna my wife to work, i noticed na lumalakas yung sipa. affected na din yung idling pag nag-eengage yung compressor.
so dun sa kanto ng southville school, instead of turning right to cruven, i decided to turn left na lang to CEEJAY's.
chineck nila system. ang culprit? BUSTED AUXILLIARY FAN. based on discussions and explanation of the technicians who were working with my car:
a) The auxilliary fan cannot help the condenser cool down. the result, it overstrains the compressor, resulting in the exerted effort and the "sipa" sound.
b) It is also related to the hissing sound i hear, dahil over-pressurized daw ang compressor as a result of item a.
had it fixed, kasama na cleaning. took me around 2.5 hours. the auxilliary fan motor costs 4,500.00 + 1,000.00 cleaning less 500 pesos discount (being a tsikoteer.)
lamig ng AC ko ngayon.
and it was also nice talking to Cora and Joel.
nice working also with the two technicians who were very courteous and professional.
kudos again to you guys.
note to the TS: hwag mo ng patagalin yan bro. pag tumagal yan, masisira compressor and other components mo dahil sa overpressure.

Pardon me for the ignorant question... Is it normal for the aircon aux fan to always turn on/off?
