    Those particulates may be silicates.

Silicates do have a life, and it's a short one - two years. If left longer, build up inside the radiator begins, and the silicates actually contribute to cooling system problems. Silicate drop out occurs after the coolant has been "spent", and the inhibitors drop out of solution. Silicates are blamed for deposit build up in radiators and heaters, causing engine overheating and poor heater performance. Once the silicates drop out of solution, dissimilar metal corrosion is no longer suppressed, and metal components begin to deteriorate.

Silicates are deemed to be abrasive in a cooling system, and are blamed for premature water pump seal failure.

If it says that it is silicate-free. There are still "regular" low-silicate coolants available.

And I did say "Those particulates may be silicates."

Otherwise, unless the coolant container was contaminated through other means, what else can it be?

Don’t mix coolant of different colors. I personally use Zerex Asian Blue or Honda type 2 for my Element, and just regular green Prestone for my Sonata.

^ not really a knock on him pero nagtataka lang ako medyo ayaw nya ata gumamit ng oem fluids pati sa iba niyang vids.

Pero informative nga mga diy projects niya sa mga sasakyan irregardless of different makes he has tackled.

I wouldn't switch on the AC to warm up the engine, the spinning radiator fan will remove the heat build up in the cooling system. this will lengthen the time to open "thermostat"

coolant change every year is rather excessive.
