but as i recall, your problem was not the compressor, but something else.
the 2003 altis i drive, still has its original compressor, working.

I don't know nga e. But they replaced the compressor thrice Though I think there's a batch of 11th gen with compressor issues kaya they just kept on replacing the compressor and not checking for other problems

2003 altis doesnt use clutchless type compressor.

Ung issue ni TS, cathy and my opismate's have all the younger gen 2012 clutchless type comp.

supposedly to prevent the thunk when clutch engages and prevent the sudden loss of power. but it's not an issue on modern engines. it's not even an issue even on "weak" 1.3L vios or cities

Not sure sir, but atleast dalawa na kilala ko nasiraan on their low mileage clutchless altises.

Same concept why sikat na sikat ngaun ang "inverter" type ACU. To gain a little effiency by just using right pressures to produce desired cooling temp.

2nd na lang ung refinement, not hearing/feeling tick sound of clutch engagement.

In theory, yes sir pede pa nga palitan ung particular part na nag cause ng failure like you mentioned.

In reality, walang nag rerepair so far mapa banawe or kahit sikat na shops like si Denso aircon or si frigidzone, lahat sila palit isang buong compressor gusto. Price will vary between 32-35k nuon outaide casa.
