if you doubt the aircon shop,
go to one or two other shops, for their opinion.

things to check before considering opening up the system:
1. freon level.
2. electrical issues. aux fan, aux fan relay.
3. is the compressor turning? magnetic clutch and its relay.

is your car overheating?

automotive aircon technology is usually straightforward. no secrets.

Yup thats the plan, to get 2nd or even 3rd opinion

No, car is not overheating.
At least the temp gauge has been up to 8 or 9 bars lang naman (middle of gauge)

minsan hindi talaga makikita ang leak pag visual inspection lang, dapat nag check ng level ng freon, pag nag babawas, may leak yan somewhere

happened to me twice bigla walang lamig pero nag engage ang compressor.

1st time, ang naging prob is mahina or hindi na umiikot ung fan sa condenser. nung sinilip ko hindi nga umiikot, tinry ko katukin ung fan motor at nun lang siya gumana. so un pina replace ko ung fan motor sa condenser.

2nd time, used the car for a week, napansin ko parang hilaw ung lamig then sa mga sumunod na araw unti unting nawawala ung lamig gang sa nawala ng tuluyan. pagdala ko sa ac shop, leak test. nakita ang leak sa may discharge hose. un lang ang naging sira.

medyo mahal po ang quote sa inyo. try niyo po sa ac shops na iba. hindi bale dumayo basta surebol ang gawa.
