    normally pag sa dealer ka mag papalinis ng air-con, marami kang pera palit expansion valve and drier kahit 1 year palang auto mo. 4thousand ang service additional ang parts na papalitan umaabot yan sa 8thousand pesos, lalo na yun mga modelo ngayon baklas instrument panel.

    pag sa shop mo naman yan ipapalinis check up muna nila yan kung walang sira, leak etc. normally 2 to 3years wala pang sira yan air-conditioning unit ng auto, dumudumi lang yan. pag sa shop ikaw ang masusunod kung lilinisin lang ang evaporator hindi papalitan iba pang parts, puwede rin ikaw ang bumili ng freon para sure na R-134a, price range niyan linis lang 2-3K. After 4-5year yan my mga masisira diyan like my leak na evaporator, maingay na bearing, maingay na fan motor etc. Sa shop my chance na hindi r-134a ang ilagay kasi nalamig din yan sa R-12 walang pinag iba refill, lang nila yun tangke ng r-134a ng R-12 ayun paniwala naman tayo.

    Pag naman sariling gawa mo my konti kang alam sa air-con laking tipid hiram ka lang ng gauge sa tropa sama mo na vacuum,baklas ka ng evaporator then linisin mo ng liquid sosa pang aluminum then ibalik mo, bili ka ng refrigerant R-134a 700 pesos/1kilo sobra nayan sa isang kotse. liquid sosa 150pesos, okey na nalalamig na yan, pag medyo luma na sasakyan mo advice add oil palit drier.

    usually the evaporator is the first thing to be cleaned or the evap is the part that is cleaned most of the time because this is where the "distillation" or separation of refrigerant and oil happens with the oil left in the evap. the refrigerant passes through.

    evertime the system is opened, it is more wiser to have it flushed then refilled with refrigerant. as with the drier-filter, it must be replaced.

    for the condenser, a simple hi-pressure spray at car wash shops is enough. caution on the condenser fins as they are soft.
